“The master observes the world
but trusts his inner vision.
He allows things to come and go.
His heart is open as the sky.”
— Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching (Stephen Mitchell Translation)

My Education and Training

I received my Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology (accredited by the American Psychological Association). Throughout my graduate training, I obtained advanced training in behavioral, psychodynamic, and cognitive therapies, theories, and research. I provided individual, group, and couples therapy, as well as psychological assessment services, in a variety of settings (e.g. community mental health, university counseling, assessment private practice, school clinic,  outpatient services for criminal offenders). As part of this training I completed a year-long APA-accredited Internship at Washington State University Counseling and Psychological Services. I completed a Counseling and Sport Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Washington within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. For further information regarding my training, please feel free to ask me.

I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington (License #: PY60633773). Being licensed means that I passed a national licensing examination and a state written examination along with other state training requirements determined by the Washington State Examining Board of Psychology.
